I'm wireing a new house.I never had the chance to install a ufer ground. When ever I get the call to wire a new house the wall is poured and the sticks are already up.This time I got the call before the footings are poured. My question is.If I install a UFER ground (20 feet of #4 copper to the rebar in the footing)I don't think I have to install grounds?? Does the UFER GROUND supplement the water ground?

Re: New house

z,
If you use the concrete encased electrode, you do not need ground rods. The concrete encased electrode will be the supplemental electrode for the metal underground water pipe.
