If you are anywhere near milepost 67 on the GSP there is Tom Pernal.

I just took his prep course prior to taking the exam last week, he pretty much covered the majority of what areas ended up being on the exam.

Hey if you remember which code book did they supply you with at the exam... a 2005 or a 2008?

Seems like a long time to have to study. Was it a Jouneryman or Master exam?
Did you have any formal schooling or trade experience before taking the exam?
What score did you get?

I studied Mike Holts exam prep book, did all 3500 questions and looked everyone up, took 4 months at night. I got 88 on the electrical portion and took it in 2 hours. The most important info in Mike's book is in the front about HOW to take the test, very important. Other advise stay at the hotel the night before.

Oh and Tom's a good guy. Had him for my first year apprentice course.

+1 to this advice!

It is very important that you become good with time management whilst taking these exams, one word of advice...skip all the questions that look hard or time consuming to you as you run through the exam and do them last.

And of course study A LOT, I studied on average 2-4 hours a night for 3 months prior to the exam maybe missing 1 night a week. It was my first time taking the exam(s) I just got my licensing packet in the mail today, guess that means I passed.....
