New Job, desire Fluke 1587 meter/megger combo

I have used a Fluke 1587 at my previous employment. I seemed to be an all around piece of test equipment to have. I now desire to obtain my own, but before I do... Are there any issues anyone has had with this item?

I hate to spend 500.00 hard earned dollars to relearn the lesson I did with Amp clamp multimeters. I did end up with a Fluke 337. This is a great Ampmeter choice but I could have owned 3 having made bad choices.

I have both the 337 and the 1587 and I don't regret either purchases.
They are very good instruments.

I own several 1587's hard to beat a fluke. IMO this is a tool your employer should provide.

I do not like them, their early clamp ons were the industry standard, the newer stuff I had issues with (seemed cheap and did not hold up).

Are you discussing the Fluke models? If so are you refering to the jaws themselves or the unit as a whole?
