New Light fixture starts flickering after a minute

Are the switches electronic in any way (dimmer, remote etc)?

If they are, and don't require a neutral, they are using the load to function as a neutral. That can cause flickering.

A new light fixture is fine for a couple of minutes then flickers constantly. We replaced switch and checked connections. Any thoughts? Thank you

Average simple fixture, LED old fashioned Edison bulbs

The only thing I can think of is to use known good lamps that work in another fixture and check to make sure they are seating properly in the lamp sockets.

If this fails I would probably take the fixture down and install a temp fixture to see if it works.

As you said there is probably a bad connection but just where is the problem. You already replaced the switch. My first suspect would be bad lamps (easiest thing to change and check).

Already have done those things. Right now in the temp fixture, two incandescent bulbs work fine. Strange. Thank you

Stevenfyeager:

You provided very inadequate information in your first post, more has come out, but still inadequate.

Apparently you have, by my assumption, a light source that produces visible light from an array of special LED chips driven from a nominal 120 V 60 Hz via an internal driver and mounted on a screw in base. No brand or model number. No measured voltage at the bulb and whether or not this voltage is stable. This light source flickers. What does flicker mean?

If this bulb is taken to a bench test socket and the same voltage applied at the same bulb ambient temperature, then does the bulb flicker? If voltage at the bulb is raised and lower relative to that voltage at the fixture where flicker occurs, then are you able to initiate flicker?

A new classic oxymoron?

What gar said. I have had new 'greenlite' bulbs flicker, poor QC on the internal inverter I suppose. Even a 'good' 'greenlite brand' will flicker if on a triac dimmer if it is 'dimmed' just a bit.

Finally, the two brand new bulbs the homeowner bought are defective. Nothing wrong with the house wiring we worked on which went through a TON of remodeling recently. Thankfully. Thanks for a all your advice.

Welcome. Just keep in mind that one failure mode of LED is flickering- that and some brands will be bad right out of the box.
