Just got turned down by Duke Energy for using a non MEG approved meter base as of 7/1/16. Does any body else have this same regulation? Because I have some meter bases for sale.

What is MEG?
In New England we have similar requirements from our POCOs.
They have their own lists and that's what you need to use.
So, 15 pages and yours isn't on it?
It needs to have a MEG approved sticker on the outside of the base. I had old stock I guess even though it had a manufacture date of 4/6/16. After 7/1/16 that base is worthless around here. I asked the Duke inspector if I could just peel it off and stick it on mine. He did not think that was funny.
I've been Googling high-and-low to find any kind of contact information for people at MEG (email, phone#, etc.). Would anyone have any of that kind of information to get in touch with somebody? Thanks in advance. What is MEG?
True, but I seem to remember most everything associated with Duke didn't work then either.Probably because this thread is 4 years old!
