Picked up new computer today. Thought I would like two monitors so I ordered them. Didn't like 'em. Got 20 inch monitors. They're wider but at least an inch shorter. Some one have a suggestion as to what they like, or will I just have to get used to these? I don't watch movies or do games. Just work.

I've heard the same complaint from several people. The extra width isn't worth the vertical size you lose, unless you go large enough to not lose any height.

An advantage is being able to display two documents side-by-side, which is rendered less important by having the second monitor anyway.

I agree with your assessment. Send them to me.

I have 3 - 24 inch screens. The profile of the screens are a little different, but it takes about a week to get used to and then you will forget about the old profile. I love them and would not go back.

Here is my setup. I have changed the location of the screens since this picture was taken. I use my laptop (17 in)/with 1-24in, and a custom made desktop with the other 2 - 24in screens

I run dual 24's, but unlike Pierre, I don't bump my nose on them when I type. My desk is 36" deep and I mounted them on a shelf I added so they were farther away and down at a lower level so I wasn't looking up to see them. I can't really function without them both anymore (I lost one last month for warranty repair and it drove me nuts). It is not uncommon for me to have two documents (or pages) on one screen and graphics or SolidWorks on the other screen.

Been using dual monitors since 1998. Won't go back either.
Still have the 4:3 ratio don't think I'll like the wide models

I have one 24". With Windows 7 I can pull up two documents in seperate programs, or two of the same and work on them at the same time. I found myself needing to transfer information form a take off or other information to a spreadsheet, It works great
