New nameplate for factory de-rated panel

I have acquired a few used Cutler Hammer PRL1A panels. I like the bolted breakers as I've experienced too many arcing bus bars with other types of breaker. I've decided to put one of them in

Most of these are rated 225A. Some are rated from the factory at 100A, but have bus bars of the same size as the 225A variety. I believe they just de-rate them for the ordered application (they were custom orders.)

Is there a complaint way to "re-nameplate" these to 200/225A? Or should I just buy a new bus-bar/nameplate/guts kit?

Did you ask Eaton if they would? Most don't like to talk to the manufacturer directly because of geting an answer that they don't want to hear. There may be an outside chance if they would should a factory authizedcengineering service change out the nameplate. But for them to simply make up a nameplte at your request and ship it out wouldn't make any sense.
I agree with you assumption though as I shiped a number of 240v rated panels to a customer that customer said some had insulation slipped over the bolt on connectors while others did not. The only difference that I found out was both panels were identical except that the ones with the insulators were 480v assemblies with the added insulation. In the interest on making all panels look the same I got some insulation from the factory and gave it to the customer to slip over the connectors of the panels without the extra insulation.
