My point is that unless there is a speicific application where the features of this connector are needed, the additional cost over wire nuts and other low cost connectors is unnecssary.

It's hard to beat a wire nut.Extremely cheap and very reliable.

But, Grasshopper, do you twist those wirenut conductors, or not twist' em'

That sure looks expensive. Why is somebody always trying to improve on the wirenut? :)

I have the same type of connector to terminate the 14 Ga Speaker wire on the Russound Whole house Audio system.

Thanks for the idea! I always feel guilty cramming stranded OFC speaker wire into a marrette, even though I know myself that you could hook everything up with NM and not tell the difference.

I twist first master even though the manufacture says I don't have to for it is written, on what ever
it is they write it on, that tight connections are happy connections and reflect the peace and serenity of a sun dappled pond... Merry Christmas!!

Coool.... I've been dreaming of them for some time - But I suppose I won't see much of them until they are less than $.08 each - the cost of the best in class wirenut.....

I like to use this type of termination in fixtures like hi hats where space is tight and have mutiple terminations

Look again at the picture.

I bet the ones you use do not have the lever to release the conductors.

It is nice that some companies like Arlington, Caddy, and, in this case WAGO, are doing things to make things easier for us in the field.
They sent me a sample and it seems that the lever is their solution to using stranded wire.
