Wondering if anybody is having any issues with the new Pass & Seymour GFIs (1597TRW and TRLA), the kind that self-test? We have had several houses in the last month or so that are having a lot of issues with the GFIs tripping. Other than sump pumps tripping (which has caused a couple flooded basements and a lot of accusations and finger-pointing), there does not seem to be a rhyme or reason. Customers are having issues in multiple GFI protected areas, seemingly at random (I realize some of these could be due to incomplete information from the customers). Some houses have several trouble spots, some have only one or two. I'm sure there are random nuisance trips in the mix, but overall it's bordering on a bigger problem. A couple of our guys in the field have mentioned the GFIs seem to trip a lot if the power has gone out and come back on. I thought that it would be helpful to hear from other contractors if they are noticing any issues or not. Any help or opinions are greatly appreciated.
