Service calculates with all appropriate demand factors applied to 270A @ 208/120V.

The restaurant coexists with an apartment building. Building has (2) incoming services, one 200A service that is for the restaurant, and the second service serves the apartment building (meters for common and each apartment). The restaurant will now include space that was once an apartment on the same floor.

The old apartment had a 100A metered service.

Can I satisfy the new restaurant service by combining the ratings of the two services that are able to distribute power to the restaurant, 100A (old apartment, new part of restaurant) and 200A (restaurant).

I'm thinking I need one 300A service, but I thought I would try.

Thanks

Depends. First, the meters do not determine the number of NEC services. If all these are fed with one service drop, for example, the NEC considers it one service.

If this is all under one NEC service, the disconnecting means will have to be properly marked.

They have the same service entrance conductors (Part IV of NEC) but have different service equipment (Part V).
Still one service under the NEC.

Nevertheless, AHJ approval req'd. POCO may have a say, too. You should run it by them beforehand.
