I just completed a 200 amp service upgrade for a double house in the city with aluminum siding. Completely normal installation, except that now both tennants report no cell reception inside the house whatsoever. Any thoughts would be greatly welcomed.

Did any LED bulbs happen to be installed at the same time? May be a coincidence since they tend to do a great job at knocking out radio reception. I know totally different frequency range.

Buy chance was the metal siding not making contact with grounded service equipment before and now is? Could be a faraday cage effect.

My house has foil backed drywall and aluminum siding...5 bars outside and one inside. AT&T gave us a free microcell and that acts as a mini-tower in the house...now have 5 bars inside and outside.

Could be a coincidence -- the local tower may be down or having some sort of issues.
I would come by and have them show you the difference in reception inside and outside the house..

I agree.
They should call the provider and ask if a site is down.
We had one nearby that was changed from cell coverage to data and service went south. Nobody knew about it until someone asked. The provider isn't gonna tell you unless you ask.
That is the site that we just set a building on so coverage could be restored.

Try turning off main to see if that stops something that is causing interference. If it does you then need to find out what it is.
