Fluke has a new "volt stick" type tester, its the LVD1, but its a combination LED flashlight and volt tester in one unit. I didn't see it on the Fluke web site, the local wholesale houses have been selling a lot of the LVD1 as it costs under $20.00
The tester runs on a single AAA battery, its 3" long, 5/8" square and has a clip for hard hat. A led lites up blue near a wire and turns red if energized.
It was invented in the Seattle area and I was wondering if anyone outside of Washington has seen one. I gave one to Mike Holt last week so there is now one in Florida!
Its a pretty useful volt stick with the LED white lamp and volt tester
