New York, Pa Licenses

Anyone know how hard it is to get a NY Manhatten license or PA. I have NJ. Any input would help

Pa has no state wide licence .. But most big cities do .. if you have a NJ state licence, you can use it to get a licence in "Most" Pa towns .. but there are some who will NOT honor your NJ licence .. been there done that .. We actually had to "Sub Out" some work in Allentown, Pa

NY State is not a licensed statewide, it is either municipalities or counties.

NYC is licensed, the process takes approximately 2 years to get your license.

You're correct. NYC has it's own licensing. From what I've been told the test is pretty hard and you won't pass unless you take a test prep class.

The NYC test prep is about $3k, thats good only for nyc, you won't pass without it, no offence, its very detailed, the prep class is basically going over old tests. Its more memorizing calculations than basic code.

NYC is going by the 2005 NEC with 269 amendments. In July 2010 the 2008 NEC will be used with some amendments

Philly will NOT accept your NJ license. Neither will DE.
