Hi Y'all,
I bought a house back in March, an estate sale from a deceased owners daughter. No one knows anything about the house whatsoever.
So, I was pretty much going in blind replacing the entire roof because the guy cut holes and made makeshift skylights from 2x6 and plexiglass, just so you understand how janked up this place was ( but I got it super cheap )
Anyways on to the well. There is no info on how deep, pump info and no records because it was before 1987 when they started keeping records with the county on wells. The water pressure was crap, the guage jumped all over the place at cut on/off so never knew the true reading but everything was OLD !!!!
I ended up tearing out everything related to the well/water heater as it was a plumbers nightmare ( will post pics ) New water heater, Well Pressure Tank complete. It was 3/4" lines coming in and immediately reduced to 1/2" after the pressure tank so I redone everything 3/4" into the walls for volume. Come to find they used iron nipples and such that they corroded inside to almost being completely clogged, had about a 1/4" hole somewhat for water to pass, wow.
Now the new setup is nicely installed, more room to move but I dont know if I reconnected the wires correctly, The wire coming from the pump is 10g in a yellow underground rated sheathing with a red stripe on one side ( Black, White and bare ground ) when I first worked on it I wrote on the wall what color went to the power supply lines, I since painted over that, so I dont know if I switched them or not, but everything is running like it should. Just hoping I didnt goof something up, but been like this a few months now now issues.
anything I should check or do? Thanks
PS wont let me post pictures....newb I suppose
