I have ran a temporary service for a crane and buck hoist. Did this to have a load and procure a transformer in time. The power company provided 208y to the site. So hang tight while I describe my set up. Service provider Transformer fed from the line has been tapped. 208y into a fused 1200amp disconnect. disconnect to a step up MGM transformer I provided. Stepped up to 480y which i then ran to a 600amp disconnect. There are four wire sets of 208y feeding first disconnect and the power company terminated them in their transformer. I have 3 phase and a neutral in each set the 1200 amp is Bonded. Also equipment grounded with a number 4 bare to ground rods. . Four sets of 600kcmil by the way. They continue to the transformer. I am currently hooking the transformer up. It will be two sets of 600kcmil with 480y on the H or load side. there currently is no strap or bond in the transformer from HO or XO to ground. Do i need a system ground on this set up? i have neutrals ran all the way to the loads which are a crane and hoist each with there own fused disconnect on the end of the line. Do I bond the neutrals in the XMFR?
