I have these backwards. I was thinking of NFPA 110, which applies to generators.

Yes, NFPA 111 would apply where there is an emergency lighting inverter.

NFPA has free access. You should look through it to find the answer.

I have inverter in same room with all other panels all the time and have no issue.
