If the AHJ is under NEC 2017 which NFPA 20 edition one can use 2013, 2016, 2019, 2022 edition? Anyone know?
Go to the building code for that. Look under referenced standards.I know AHJ has adopted NFPA 70, NEC 2017.
Question is Under NEC 2017 which edition of NFPA 20 be enforced?
NFPA 20 is the fire pump code.
Go to the building code for that. Look under referenced standards.
For my area, its the local fire department that knows which edition of NFPA 20 is adopted. I just asked the Fire Marshall. If the AHJ is under NEC 2017 which NFPA 20 edition one can use 2013, 2016, 2019, 2022 edition? Anyone know?
Sounds like you haven't tried the NFPA web site....
(usually the electronic version are delivered as soon as payment goes through, and you're not going to get sunday or Monday delivery of a hard-copy from anyone)
Did you look?
And you can get free access to electronic version. Just did it.took me 30 seconds to findNFPA 20: Standard for the Installation of Stationary Pumps for Fire Protection
<p>1.1* Scope.<br />1.1.1 <br />This standard deals with the selection and installation of pumps supplying liquid for private fire protection.<br />1.1.2 <br />The scope of this document shall include liquid supplies; suction, discharge, and auxiliary equipment; power supplies, including...www.nfpa.org

And you could easily be regulated by one version of NFPA 20, directly adpoted, while NEC compels you to also comply with a different version of NFPA 20.For my area, its the local fire department that knows which edition of NFPA 20 is adopted. I just asked the Fire Marshall.
The NEC references NFPA 20 but that is the only relation between the NEC and NFPA 20. Each has to be legally adopted by some agency-state, city, county, fire department.
