My question is concerning Multi-use buildings. The building in question is a 4 story wood structure with the first floor of the building being all Retail and Tenant Spaces for commercial use. The 3 floors above that are all condo spaces with residential living space. How does NFPA 220-1999 classify this building? Are different wiring methods allow for floor 1 vs. 2-4? Does the entire building have the same classification or does it go by floors?
