This question will probably be answered by ZOG.:grin:Can a so called qualified person give NFPA training to employees, or do they have to take an instructors course?

There is no such thing as a NFPA 70E certification, and anyone can teach anyone, even a computer. However, the employer is the person that deems the person "Qualified" and has to be able to prove that the employee was sufficiently trained. See my safety FAQ titled "Qualified person" for all of the training requirements.

Just remember that being qualified as an electrician doesn't mean you can teach the material without putting everyone to sleep. You still have to be able to present the material in a way that will keep everyone's interest.

And that being a qualified electrician dosent mean you are 70E qualified. I agree, teaching is much harder than it looks, knowing the material is the easy part, effectivly transfering that knowledge is difficult. Here is a paper I wrote back when I worked for these guys on the learning process.
