The exceptions to The Class A conduit requirements for the outgoing and return wiring being in separate conduits are 1) not to exceed 10 feet when exiting and entering a device 2) single conduit drops to individual device 3) conduit drops to multiple devices within a single room not to exceed 1000sq ft.Question; what is the difference between the first and second exception, one seems to be saying you're limited to 10 feet, two seems to say it's unlimited to an individual device.

The first gives you 10' to enter/exit multiple devices in the same box (enclosures). "For a distance not to exceed 3 m (10 ft) where the outgoing and return
conductors enter or exit the initiating device, notification appliance, or control unit enclosures"
