I have a question about the color of a fault reset light. My company changed their spec to make them blue even though they are illuminated. They keep showing me NFPA 79 - 10.2.2.7 which states a reset button shall be BLUE, BLACK, WHITE, or GREY.
That is correct except that this is an illuminated push button which is clearly defined in NFPA 79 - 10.4. This section refers to
table 10.3.2, which shows the color red should be used when the state of the equipment is faulty. I was wondering if I was
reading it wrong or should it be blue? Blue is spelled out as a mandatory action but the machine has to fault in order for the
light to start blinking. In my opinion, this is suppose to grab the operators attention. Any help would be appreciated.

You may have a point.

I am not a huge fan of illuminated pushbuttons anyway and generally avoid them if I can. I think they can be confusing.
