NFPA 79 6.2.3.1 requires all doors of an enclosure to be interlocked with the disconnect. 6.2.3.2 states that if a disconnect is not present, use of a key or tool is required to open an enclosure.
We have a two door enclosure, both doors require a tool to open and are marked with the voltage (480VAC). One door has a rotary disconnect. Does the presence of a disconnect demand an interlock between the two doors since they are on the same enclosure, or does the tool requirment negate the need for an interlock?
Thanks.
