I'm designing equipment that is going to a foreign country that doesn't care about safety standards. Are we required to ground the equipment NFPA 79 standards anyway because we are building it here in the US? Is this an OSHA thing?

Importa
Nfpa79 is a std you follow essentially if you want to meet best practices.for machines in the usa or you agree to do so contractually. Osha does not care a lot about the standards you build it to.
