Nfpa 820

Is anyone versed in the application of NFPA 820 (Wastewater Treatment) in conjunction with Article 500 and 501? Specifically regarding installation/location of Combustible Gas Detectors.

NFPA 820, essentially states that a combustible gas detector system must be installed per the NEC as any other electrical system would be required to be. It doesn't describe a recognized Section 500.7(K) Protection Technique, rather it describes a fire detection/protection system that is installed in a hazardous location.

Locating the detectors is in the scope of NFPA 820, specifically Tables 4.2, 5.2 and 6.2a.
