Hello Everyone, I'm about to start a new metal load bearing wall hotel. it's an r-1 structure with no prerock partitions above or between the rooms.
i hate these type buildings, it's very hard to distinguish what stops where.
the floor above each floor will be poured pan 2" and 4" gc says that's the fire rating above, the ceiling in the guest rooms will be 5/8" drywall and 1/23" resilient channel 1 side 2 layer 5/8 on other side.
my question is: has anyone seen a fire rated assembly for the puck/ wafer lights? jobs in the past with this assembly had to make a 5 sided box around can lights. but I'm not finding anything for the new lights? i could go on and use cans and ,make a 5 side but that's a lot of time and money. any suggestions?
