nfpa/ iaei certification

has anyone else tried to get this certification? a friend and i took the test over 4 months ago and haven't gotten our results back yet. we decided to take this exam because of the prestige that came with the organizations backing it. the troubles started when we ordered the study guide that both organizations recommended getting and we found several mistakes in the book. i e-mailed them and they sent out an eratta for the book and the next day they sent a another set of different eratta out. then they said that since this test was given electronically we would get the results back as soon as we were done. we took it we finished it and then got a letter saying it would take up to 12 weeks to get the results.well it's been 16 weeks and no results. i emailed everyone in both organizations several times, all i get back is that it was a new test and they are trying to come up with a test base to grade the test. what a disappointing experience this has been. just wanted to know if anyone else has had this problem.

I had a much better experience with ICC. Everything from registering, taking the exam, and getting the results went as smooth as one could hope. The only issue that ever came up through the whole process was when they changed the testing location only about 4 days before I was taking the exam. However, it was a problem that was primarily out of their control and the other facilty was a reasonable alternative.

I don't know what state you live in, but here in Florida, only the ICC certifications can be used for state inspector certification. I do not believe the NFPA/IAEI cetification is accepted.

I hope it works out for you. Maybe you should check out the ICC. I also believe it is a less expensive program. ICC certification

The pass/fail resuls are in, it was a long wait for me also. I passed the master and residential cetification exams... working on the practice phase now.

practice portion of the certification.has anyone finish the practice part for the IAEI certification.
