If you haven't signed into NFPA link lately, take a look:
link.nfpa.org/publications/

Wonder what prompted blocking subscriptions, to force signing a new EULA that includes a class action waiver?

"NFPA LiNK® End User License Agreement
In order to use this subscription service.. YOU ..WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS-ACTION LAWSUIT, CLASS-WIDE ARBITRATION, OR ANY OTHER REPRESENTATIVE ACTION..
"

Excluding members, who sign this EULA, from the class of such lawsuits will only increase money to remaining class members, who typically get less than $25.ea, where millions of victims are involved. Lawyers make the killing .

A quick search suggests it ight be related to the lawsuits related to firefighters getting cancer from AFFF clothing gear. It looks like the NFPA regulations may have contributed to exposing firefighters to cancer causing material. Maybe they are trying to reduce lawsuit exposure by requiring the waiver be acknowledged.
