NFPA Publisher offers NEC in several format.

* NEC plus, yearly subsciption
* NEC code, on CD-ROM
* NEC code book
* NEC code hand book

I never used the NEC plus and NEC on CD-ROM, out of the rest I prefer the hand book.
Please grade which one you like the best based on your experence.
Thank you.

I have the NEC in several formats. For just sitting on a desk I prefer the handbook. For searching something, using Folio Views (2008), or pdf (2011). For exams I love the spiral bound version since it lays flat on the desk when opened.

I can't argue with that. I would like to add that I have started using tabs again and find them useful.

I hate the PDF version. It takes too long to find something if you know the section. The index only goes to the articles, not the individual sections like it did in the Folio Views versions and in the old (99 and older) PDFs. The search is ok, but not as good as the Folio Views versions that they used prior to the 2011 code

I believe the NEC Plus is just a magazine and they give you a code book with a yearly subscription. I prefer the handbook for detailed info, pictures work good for me.:happyyes:
I also like the spiral bound for the reasons mentioned.

I agree. I still use the 2008 (Folio Views) as much as possible for that reason. The search function on pdf's is horrible.
