I'm having difficulty interpreting NFPA 79 5.3.1.4 Exception 1. I am using industrial modular enclosures. I have installed a partition wall (Saginaw IMS barrier plate) isolating the disconnect enclosure from the ganged control and distribution. All enclosures have keys.
Reading the exception; is the isolation partition wall and the enclosure considered "dead front" because it limits access to the live side of the supply disconnect? Or do I still need electrical or mechanical interlocks?
Voltages are above 50v ac.
Thank you,
Bill
