When I went back around 1995 for Fire Alarm Systems NICET I an II all I had to bring was myself. Same thing in 2001 or 2002 when I went for NICET IV training. They supplied the books and any handouts. There was no test until I actually sat down for the NICET test.
You might bring any questions you have and make sure they get answered during the training.
The school should be able to tell you for sure if you need anything special.
