E emahler Senior Member Jan 1, 2007 #3 did you submit your paperwork to the Board of Examiners? They will send you back a package which includes different exam prep classes. Don't bother with the class until you get the ok from the state for the test.

That all depends on what you mean by "5 years". - 5 years "hands on" qualifies - 4 years of school and 1 year of hands qualifies - a BA in EE and 2 years hands on qualifies http://www.nj.gov/lps/ca/electric/elecqual.pdf Until you have met one of those requirements, you cannot submit your paperwork as you have not yet met the qualifications.
