Hello all, Received an email from New Jersey regarding class “A” journeyman card. What if I’m a licensed contractor who never had any formal classroom training and I’m current with my 34 hrs and my fees and insurance.?? Any other Jersey guys get the e mail?

Hello all, Received an email from New Jersey regarding class “A” journeyman card. What if I’m a licensed contractor who never had any formal classroom training and I’m current with my 34 hrs and my fees and insurance.?? Any other Jersey guys get the e mail?

If you're already a licensed contractor you don't need to do a thing to keep performing electrical work.

If you employ people, those people down the road will need to be licensed as a journeyman, wireman or apprentice. However the board is likely years away from enforcing that.

If you have registered apprentices you'll need to register with the US department of labor in order to sponsor those apprentices
