Is a fixture designated as "NL"(night light) always required to be unswitched per code? Thank you foy any input.
What are the usual options for night lights switching? Aren't they usually unswitched and on 24 hours?Night lights are not required by the NEC so unless you have some sort of special occupancy or local requirements you can do what ever you want with them.
I have always left them on 24 hours but some energy codes may not allow for that . You could put them on a timer and shut them off or dim them at certain times... there are tons of options. We would put our night lights with battery backups on a emergency circuit and kill 2 birds with one stone but then they couldn't be switched. What are the usual options for night lights switching?
