As I read Article 334.10 (3) I am wondering where you find out what types of materials have this rating and where do I find it? I thought you went to the annex E and used that table. The way I understand it is as follows: If you have a type 5 A construction can you use NM cable. When I read that table is shows that all non-bearing walls both interior and exterior are not rated, so this will not meet the 15 min rating required by 334.10 (3), will it?

1/2" sheetrock has at least a 15 minute finish rating, so if you install NM cable in a sheetrocked wall it will be OK.
Non-rated construction does not means that the material used doesn't have a fire rating, it just means that a fire rating is not required.
