Is it permissible by code to run NM-B through SCH-80 RNC in a residential application? I am unable to locate anything in the NEC to indicate yes or no.:-?

I agree with Trevor unless it is outside or underground.

Agreed. If you have run the PVC under a slab on grade to an island or other item and the slab is in direct contact with the earth then the conduit would be considered in a wet location and you couldn't install NM-B.

I actually call this quite often on slab on grade homes in my area.

Yeah, I have had a lot of upset contractors when I tell them they must use UF for the slab on grade kitchen island.
