NM-B plastic connector installation into a panel

Can a NM-B push-in connector be installed from the inside of a panel box on a 2 wire NM-B wire? The wire would be fished thru an existing wood studded sheetrock wall into the panel then the push on connector would be installed from inside the panel.

Just one sample, the pictured Is Raco. Arlington also makes one that can be used from either inside or outside, one connector.

Does the NEC actually prohibit a cable connector that would allow cable to be pushed through it out of the enclosure?

Don't know about NEC off hand but that process wouldn't be practical anyway. The connectors I referenced both align to refence conductors entering from outside pushing in. The one connector by Raco you can pull wire into box, slide connector onto the cable then push connector back into the KO hole.

Use whatever you have.

The wire could care less which way the plastic connector is facing.

If you want it to look technically correct,,,, go ahead and pull a 3/4" ko out of the panel,,,,, take your hacksaw and cut a slit in (1 of 2) 3/4" x 1/2" reducing washers,,,,, put your connector on the wire in the "wire coming into the panel orientation" and shove it up through the 3/4" hole,,,, take your reducing washer (with the slit in it) an curl it through the 3/4" opening until it is outside the panel and snap the connector into the outside reducing washer,,,, lower back into the hole until the outside reducing washer contacts the outside surface of the panel,,,, take the 2nd reducing washer (without the slit in it) and snap around the connector from the inside of the panel,,,, problem solved. :)

Just funnin a little... :)

As a bushing, it doesn't matter, but as a clamp, standard pop-ins only grip the cable in one direction.

I don't see where that matters.

I could snap a connector into the top of a panel from the inside and feed my cable up into the attic from below if I wanted to.
