I've searched through the 08' code book, articles 300 - 334, and can't find any reference to NM Cable near gang nails on trusses. Does the code cover this topic in another article?

It would fall under 334.15-- protection from damage. If there is something that can dig into the cable then it would be a violation or at least a judgement call by the inspector
