NEC 2014 section 334.10(5) says NM cable permitted where Types I and II construction where installed within raceways permitted to be installed in Types I and II construction.

What are those raceways permitted to be installed in Types I and II construction?

Anyone know what 334.10(5) is talking about? What kind of raceway one can install so that they can install NM in types I and II construction?
 
Read all the .22 sections in the conduit and tubing article sections starting with 342.22. If the .12 sections of the specific article doesn't prohibit it's use in Types I and II it is allowed.

Also, the info note in that section may be what you seek...

“Informational Note No. 1: Types of building construction and occupancy classifications are defined in NFPA 220 -2015, Standard on Types of Building Construction, or the applicable building code, or both.”

I didn’t see any raceway that has language .12 section that specifically says type I or II construction prohibited. Am I missing something?
 
Yes, you're missing the point that if it doesn't specifically mention it, it is allowed.
