NM cable

OK I know it's there, but I can't find the spacific section of the nec that requires NM to be run through holes or on a running board. Help please :weeping:
This application is above a suspended ceiling in a single family dwelling.

No ceilings. But, I found it in 334.15, since above suspended ceilings, with removeable panels are considered exposed thus needing a running board or bored holes 1 1/4 " from the bottom of the joist.

actually Yes, ceiling is in finished basement.
