Does code allow installing 12/2 romex in 3/4" plastic rigid conduit, and then to a metal box for outlets? How many NM romex cables can I install in a single conduit?

This installation will be in my new shop building, a pole building unattached to my residence. I will need to protect the first 8 feet of romex, as it will be exposed. Its all 120/220V, single phase.

Also, can I put my new panel behind the swing of a door? The panel will have a clear area in front of it when the door is closed, but the door will block it when open.

This is in Washington State, BTW.

Thanks

Hire a licensed and insured electrical contractor. They can answer all these questions and more. Make sure they pull a permit and call for inspections. Good luck.

And Washington State did away with the homeowner first offense electrical fine of $50. From what you're asking you are sure to have violations, you'll pay the same as an electrician, $250 for a serious offense....
I'm lock this post as we don't allow DIY'r posts.
