I didn't load my pdf version onto my HDD because I didn't want to devote the space when I could always look something up on the free access system at NFPA. And I hate carrying the CD around because I will lose it or damage it sooner or later. But sadly, that is gone I guess. You can still access it once for free for 24hrs, but after that it's $8.95 per month.

Sadly, this will likely lead to more people doing things without checking now. Of course before we had that tool available, we all just used our print versions, but I know of a lot of guys who stopped carrying it with them on road trips once they found out they could look things up on-line. I'm bummed, but I guess everyone needs to generate revenue in these tough times.

I have just accessed it twice with nothing indicating that there will be any restrictions. :-?

From their email allowing access...

You can access your one day free preview by going to necplus.org and entering the following:
Login: *********
Password: ******

Your subscription will begin once you login to necplus.org and will expire the following day at 11:59:00 PM.

Huh,
Well something went screwy on me then, because I went to my usual link and got this page:

Content no longer available

The content you are seeking is no longer available. Please visit NFPA’s homepage for information on our work to reduce the worldwide burden of fire and other hazards.

If you were looking for content on electrical issues, please visit necplus.org, your source for electrical information.(links removed)

Guess maybe I jumped the gun in thinking they had moved it. Either that, or they are as of yet unaware of the back doors you guys found...
