I had to go in the attic once at a Mexican restaurant. My flashlight kept shining on something that I couldn't identify from a distance. I finally went over to where it was. It was a quart size tomato can being used as a junction box. They had it upside down so no open top!
At least it wasn't a flying splice that I normally find in attics!
