Is using a non insualted EMT connector you would need a bushing on the end of the connector. Is that correct? Thank you......

The EMT connectors will require bushings when the condcutors are #4 and larger.

Because connectors are considered to have rounded throats.

Even if the connectors are insulated ?
Why is it for #4 and larger and not smaller?
If they have insulated throats no bushing is required. See 300.4(G)

No, insulated throats can be used in lieu of a bushing but the title of your thread says non-insulated connector which is what I was responding to. Smaller conductors have less risk of being damaged so the bushing is not needed.

If it's on threaded conduit, as opposed to a manufactured connector, bushings are required regardless of the wire size. This is the case whether it is a field-threading or a factory threading.
