Is it true that the NEC changed in 2005 to allow the installation of NMC in a 4story apt building?

I don't know when it changed but it did read art.334.10--
 
Now the restrictions are based on the type of construction not the number of floors. Makes more sense to me. :rolleyes:

Actually it makes perfect sense. Why should a high rise building that contains dwelling units be restricted from having NM installed? Around here it's very common to have the dwelling units wire with NM cable with the common areas and so forth wired with MC cable.
