I was reading that link, and it said they drove a nail threw it and it was no big deal, it just tripped the breaker. So this installation is to code?? Driving a nail threw it and tripping a breaker is no big deal?? So why can't you run 14-2 down the wall and just paint it? Isn't it because it needs to be protected from damage? I don't get it.

I must say I have never seen this before! The outter jacket must have an ul listing to be painted un like NM wire but how is it protected from damage? If we have a romex in an unfinished basement wall we have to sleeve it with greenfield!
