I am looking for a door contact switch that is low voltage but is normally closed- in other words closed when the door is open. Unfortunately I bought one from Honeywell and their normally closed meant just the opposite- close when depressed.

Anyone have a source for these????

If you already have something like pictured in post 2, I would think you can purchase a NC switch to replace the NO one with.

Most of the demand for that type of thing is to turn a light on when the door is opened so NO "held closed" is what is popular in them.

Possible that you could find one that has SPDT switch in it and then you can select which function you want to use.

That is not what I need. These are contact switches like the alarm people use. It can be button instead of a ball

If you're switching 120 volts, you need the Leviton device as it is actually UL-listed for the purpose.

I know you know you can add a relay if you have to.Morris Products 70332 on Amazon looks like your picture.

See what an alarm supply house might have.

.
They seem to call normally closed switches as the ones that are closed when depressed. I need the opposite. That was where I got the one I have but it shuts the light of when the door is open even though it was a NC switch

Haha, a white one, do you know the old joke about the guy buying a new suite? Punch line," Bernie the man wants a blue suite go get the blue paint!".
