Not sure about Wake Tech. but it is offered at Fayetteville Tech.

I didn't think you could do that without someone sponsoring you. I know the title is worthless without the job from a city, town, etc. Most people procure the job and let the department pay for the education. I suspect going about it your way may open more doors

I know any of the job openings for inspector with the state requires you to already have at least a level I cert.
