I hope this doesn't get deleted as a link drop.
You didn't just "drop the link," you added some explanation and a comment of your own. You gave forum members enough information about the link to enable them to decide for themselves whether they have an interest in clicking the link to read more. That satisfies the rules, so don't be concerned.

I have been following this technology for a while now. Realize, that it is not a new idea, Tesla did it more than 100 years ago, and due to the laws of physics, any distance presents exponentially more loss in the 'circuit'.

Rechargeable electric toothbrushes use this technology.

I foresee the best use is for recharging electric vehicles without having to plug them in and for recharging portable devices like phones, cameras and mp3 players.

I had an idea when I was in high school for 'wireless electricity', but had no idea how to go about doing it, so I gave up. It had to do with light, not wifi. I don't think wifi was around yet.
About 6 months ago, I was watching tv and there it was.

Someone invented it. It has a ir light transmitter that sits on a tabletop and across the room there is a lamp. the lamp has no wiring run to it, and it has a ir reciever.
It has some electrionics that changes the ir light signal to useable electricity.

It sounds like air-core transformers to me.

I have one of those. You shine a light into it, and light comes out of it. I think it's called a mirror.
