5B construction - office space
Drywall ceiling with NM cable routed above the drywall ceiling. NO NM cable in the drop-ceiling cavity.
The space above the drywall is accessible through an "attic access" at one end of the building.
For what it's worth the attic access is simply a piece of drywall that fits into a cut out in the drywall membrane and it's supported by wood casing (probably what we typically see in residential applications).
The question is does the attic access render the NM cable "not concealed" as contemplated in 334.10(3)?
What if the attic access was fixed in place with screws (just like the drywall is attached to the walls)?
Pete
