I just got my pump and irrigation plumber certificate. I was grandfathered in due to a state law passed in 2006.
I only had to prove I worked on pumps and controls, no test.
Part of the state law grandfathered plumbers as pump and irrigation electricians. I don't like that, but hey I am now a plumber.

Tom
Protocol law 754933 of the United States Confusion Status will wind up getting you.
I can tell you that it will not take long for the operatives of this highly secretive unit to find you and probably shrink you mind even smaller so you actually will believe you are a plumber. The electrical industry will miss such a great electrical genius.

Can you tell me where in the WAC rules the grandfather clause is? I know some people that might be able to take advantage of it. Thanks.

Gee, I had to take a one day course and a short quiz to get my EPA and State refrigerant license. But I got it, so no one can blame the hole in the ozone on me. Is that thing still around?

Our plumbers and electricians all sit in the same room for the exams. I wonder if anyone ever got the wrong test.

Well Tom, now I can place all of the blame on you;)

You keep your pipe away from my pipe, and your assistant out of my way, and we're still on for lunch:grin:

The deadline for applications was Dec 31, 2006. My application was one of the last submitted and it got lost, I had to resend.

Thanks anyway. I got grandfathered for my maintenance electrician license in 2001 or so. I had to go back to my former employer and ask them to write a letter to the state telling when and for how long I had worked electrical maintenance.

I always thought of plumbers as electricians with no brains and a longer butt crack

that's funny. i had a plumber tell me the same thing about electricians (minus the longer crack) as I was doing the electrical on his million dollar lake house.

Sing him The Plumber Song.

If I was dumber

I'd be a plumber

If I's dumber, than a plumber, I'd be dirt.

LOL!!! My dear old Dad ( a plumber for 40 years) Taught me that song long long ago. Could it have persuaded my choice of trades?

Hey Tom, does this mean you can use plumbers 90's on electrical pipe and pull wires in drain pipes.
